The Community Health Atlas is a free, public reference map of the United States covering 36 tracked infectious diseases and current outbreak hotspots. Users can click any state to find their state health department contact information, disease reporting links, and current hotspot alerts. Clicking a county provides local health department resources. The condition index covers bacterial, viral, parasitic, vector-borne, fungal, and novel emerging diseases including influenza, COVID-19, measles, West Nile virus, Lyme disease, cyclosporiasis, salmonellosis, H5 bird flu, mpox, Valley fever, and more. All content is sourced from the CDC, FDA, USDA, and official state and county health departments. Data is verified before publication and updated on a rolling basis.
Current active hotspots include measles outbreaks in Utah, Virginia, Wyoming, Ohio, and Delaware; cyclosporiasis outbreaks in West Virginia, New York, Arkansas, and Wisconsin; and West Nile virus cases in New Mexico. The atlas covers all 50 states plus the District of Columbia with official health department names, URLs, phone numbers, and disease reporting links.
